Speeding

Has anyone ever got a speeding ticket from an aircraft that was using the time distance method from above?

My boyfriend got a speeding ticket in Minnesota over the weekend from an aircraft that was above us that sent another chaser cop car to give us the ticket. We plan on fighing it because we know he wasn’t going what they said he was. There is no way to go that fast on 371 on memorial weekend in all that trafic that goes up north. Has anyone ever fought a traffic ticket that you were clocked from an aircraft and won?

this is a very difficult case to win. eg: if the aircraft spots you traveling 1 mile in a period of 30 seconds, it is obvious that you were traveling at a speed of 120 miles per hour.claims of traffic and road conditions will do little to convince a judge that you magically reached the 1 mile marker while obeying the posted speed limit. as long as the equipment was functional/tuned/calibrated and the operator properly certified, you have a very difficult task in trying to beat the ticket.
