speeding ticket and improper lane usage ticket in alabama?

i got 2 tickets last night, 1 for going 48 in a 35 and another for improper lane usage? not sure what thats about because i only changed lanes 1 time and used my blinker, the cop said i was weaving in and out of traffic. does anyone know about how much improper lane usage cost in alabama? also i know i can go to traffic driving school to get a ticket taken off my record but will this take both the tickets off sense i got them at the same time? how does this work what all do i pay for? do i still have to pay for the tickets? how much does it all cost?

Most of it depends on the judge. If it’s your first offense(s) in awhile, the judge will usually waive the tickets/points against your license if you take a class or two(Usually online). The judge may reduce the tickets slightly and turn them into “Court costs”.

This happened to me in a small town in Oregon, 45 in a 30, plain old speed trap. They just wanted the money, as they only reduced the ticket $50 on a $260 charge I think.

You can always take a chance and plead not guilty and go to actual court. You may get lucky and the officer won’t show up! = Tickets dismissed.

Basically if you plead guilty or no contest, they’ll take your money and a few hours of your time, unless you pissed someone off.
