Speeding Ticket in Alberta?

I dont have a problem with paying the fine, but if i go to court can i get the demerits dropped off my license somehow?>
I am from alberta, does this mean i might have a chance?

There are no gaurentees. Some people go, state their excuse and get things reduced a bit and some don’t. It all depends upon who you go up in front of and what his/her mood is that day. I’ve even seen some people get things increased if they were dumb enough to challenge the ticket based on the fact that “the lidar must be wrong, I was doing 75 in a 50 I was actually doing 80.”
