will i get a speeding fine?

i live in australia and i was driving i think 72 in a 60 zone without realising how fast i was going and then slowed down to 60 when i realised how fast i was going. i looked in the mirror and a cop car was in the lane next to me a bit behind me but he did not put his lights on and pull me over. do you think i will get a speeding fine in the post????
