Speeding

In ca, I thought my license was no longer suspended, i got 2 infractions on it, is it gone for good?

First of all, i got license suspended for being rear ended (not my fault) without insurance on the day i bought a used car from a guy in stockton, driving it home to insure it, in may of 07. I thought once i turn 18(02/08) my license is valid agian, so i started driving, i got one ticket for speeding in dublin, i got the second ticket 2 weeks later for pulling out too quickly onto a street in vallejo,the day i got the second ticket i checked the dmv on my license status, found out it was suspended. On that same day i paid the fine to recieve a restricted license, which included getting insurance to fill out a w2, i am going to court and pleading guitly to the tickets, and presenting my case.. How come i got pulled over twice on the suspended and the cops never said anything to me? am i dreaming, to thinking the court might let me keep my license at least on a restricted?

Some cops are lazy or don’t care, some departments don’t run everyone out because of manning. They just took your info and busted out a cite.
