Deferred Speeding Ticket Washington State
2002
I've paid a speeding ticket in Washington … I can get points off my record?
So two weeks ago I got a ticket for speed to go 65 in an area officially 60 in Clark County, Washington. I have already paid the fine and admitted guilt. Yes, in retrospect, I now realize I had the option to defer, as it was my first offense. I'm from California residents, and here I could have taken classes traffic school online get a couple of points off my record once it had paid the fine. However, I am very confused as to how to deal with this from the ticket was issued in the state Washington. There is a defensive driving school online offered by Clark County, but it seems to remove the points, the class must have been suggested by the court. Ultimately I'm trying to reduce insurance costs since I have 19 years, and I'm pretty sure we will see an increase in coverage costs. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.
Since you plead guilty and pay, the matter is considered close and apply the ruling. If the court did not give driving lessons as a deferment, it probably is not an option. You can check with the California DMV to see if he will make the points with a driving class (Their website is very clear on out of state). Also, check whether your insurance company credit points thus remove (some). A violation is 5 mph too bad, usually the minimum number of points, so its success can not be sure that bad. Any driver discount will be gone with the conviction on what happens.
