Speeding

If you pay the fine for an offense, you still have to go to court?

I live in Dekalb County in Georgia and was given a citation speeding in a school zone. If I can pay the fine, as yet, I have to go to court?

If it says to go to court, then I have not to go, but some officers will ticket you must go to court and if you need to set a court date. You could also go to court if they wanted to fight the ticket, but since you only want to pay and end that should not have to go to court unless necessary.
