little advice on crossovers and sedans?

whats the better value? I’m not talking about cheap sedans I mean VW passat cc compare to a nissan murano or a ford fusion limited compare to a jeep grand cherokee overland. in the long run whats better I realize how much more im paying for a SUV than a car even though it comes with the same features/engines. I’m 6’3 and love a speed demon. would I be more happy in a crossover? more comfortable? I don’t really care about gas though can you consider good crossovers thats better than cars like bmw 5series? my limit is 40grand

They’re two different classes of cars, but the VW CC is one of my favorite cars on the market at the moment, and the fusion is really well built/designed as well.

As for pros and cons of sedans/ crossoovers, here are my opinions:

Crossovers:
Pros:
-CARGO ROOM!
-People room- a lot of crossovers nowadays have 3rd row seating)
-Height- they’re higher up,a nd often have more headroom

Cons:
-MPG- bigger/heavier cars=lower MPG
- Lower resale value (especially with gas prices nowadays)
- rollover crashes- higher up cars are more prone to rollover car accidents in side swept hits.
-Higher price point/MSRP

Sedans:
Pros:
-Great resale value- since sedans are economical in carrying people and cargo, they’re always wanted
-Fun-ness to drive- smaller car + good engineering=fun drive
-Style- often smaller cars are more slick and sporty
-MPG- smaller car=better MPG

Cons:
-Cargo Room- no fold flat seats in most sedans

As for the choices you listed, the Nissan Murano wins in the crossover unit- it has higher resale value, better reliability ratings, a sportier drive, looks better, and has a well laid out interior.

For the sedan, both are great but i prefer the CC- it has better handling, a better/more luxurious interior, and is more unique in the 4 door coupe design.

Test drive a few out and reasess what you need on a daily basis- if you need cargo room, go for the SUV/crossover, if you don’t, skip out on it and go for the sedan!

Test drive different manufacterers andt ypes of cars and see whta you like and dont like about each and go from there.
