Direct Gov Speeding

I have 23 years and have had a full driving license since I was 18 years. What motorcycle / moped I can freely own?
I me with a wheel, 2. I have a license with the category 'A' right. The DVLA website it says it can go by car to 33bhp, does this up to 125cc? Also, I can theoretically drive a vehicle "category" A right to me the rest of my life without a test? If I were to buy a motorcycle or moped which had probably would not want to test the short term. Also, what is the maximum speed that a motorcycle can be used on highways, and what about Europe? I'm British living in Britain on the road. Thanks for your help, I know nothing about cars and motorcycles only to lead: DVLA http://www.direct.gov.uk/Motoring/DriverLicensing/WhatCanYouDriveAndYourObligations/WhatCanYouDriveArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4022547&chk=oQylE9 LINK
You may freely own anything you want. Horseback riding is another matter. Unless you have been tested for motorcycles, or the DVLA has made a horrible mistake (which happens), it is likely that only have provisional category All right. That means you need to take a CBT (compulsory basic training, valid for 2 years) course before they can legally operate a motorcycle. Unless accompanied by a qualified instructor, you can not ride anything more powerful than a 125 as an apprentice, which course can not be mounted on a highway or outside the country until there is a fully licensed motorcycle. A 125cc learner-legal (some may be de-restricted, but it will not be legal for you as a student) will be able to top 60 mph. Get some lessons, take the test and get a proper bike license. It is the only way and worthwhile.
