Durham Cop Speeding

I have a ticket for speeding in Durham, NC … What are my options?

I came home from work one day and I stopped to do 74 in a 55. I'm still a bit new to the area … i road was down to my house and is 65 in that area, so I thought I was 65, was set up … I I was wrong: (The police slowed down to 70 by 55, but I have yet one U.S. dollar 151 fine to pay. I am a recent college graduate working in Cracker Barrel until someone hires me. I can not really afford this ticket and I have 3 points on my insurance for a hit and run leaving my car and totaled no one to blame for this. My insurance went from 100 a month to 175 a month … I can not afford to climb higher. What options do I have? Also someone said something about a PJC … what is that? I am not a speed demon (I think I did not feel too well and was eager to return home) This is my first entry speeding and I've really learned my lesson. Could you please tell me my options and the cost of these options? Thank you!

Most courts understand the fines do not receive paid, if you're not working. When appearing before the court may seek to pay the fine over a period of time so it's easier. The only other option is slow down!
