what is the chance a state trooper will not show up in court?
i have decided to fight my first ticket (speeding 62 in a 50) its my first ticket i have gotten in my 4 1/2 years of driving
the officer i got the ticket from was a state trooper, what are the chances he wont show in court?? in fairfax county if the cop doesnt show most of the time the ticket is dismissed
Officers not showing up for court is for the most part a myth. If he doesn’t show, but has a valid excuse, they will reschedule.
An officer can be disciplined for missing court, and the District Attorney does not appreciate it. Most officers do not want to upset the DA.
