When do you need to inform their insurance companies a fixed penalty notice?

I have received a fixed penalty notice for a crime speeding and I am waiting for my license to be returned from the DVLA with an approval code added. I thought this would be quite fast, but were only reported to be another 2 weeks. Should I tell my insurance company now or wait for the license to return the approval code. The insurer Admiral if that helps. Thanks

Cos I would say immediately if you need to make a claim, meanwhile, say they will invalidate their insurance because they have not been reported. if SP30 is normally not affect your premium.
