Speeding ticket: Plead no contest?

I have been driving for over ten years and have never gotten a single ticket for anything. I always drive safe and mind my speed.

Today I was pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol for speeding and he gave me a ticket for 240$.

I was going with the flow of traffic and it was an area where the speed limit suddenly drops to 65. He said he clocked me at 82. He had it written on the back of his hand with a pen.

I can’t afford this ticket right now. I am a student and only work part-time. Is there any way I can plead no contest in court since it is my first violation ever?

I have talked to 4 people that have pleaded no contest in the same situation and gotten the fine waived.

First offenses are usually easy to take care of. Speak with your local County Attorney/DA and see if they would wave the fine pending completion of traffic school. If the above doesnt help, try talking to them about pleading guilty to a lesser speed, that will help reduce the amount. Good luck
