Il Speeding Ticket Court Supervision
2009
Speeding Ticket & Court Supervision for State of IL?
Alright.. please answer if you have any answers even if it’s not related to IL
I recently got 2 speeding tickets. I am 19 years old and got my license suspended for one month. I then got a speeding ticket (for going 11 over on interstate) and that isn’t due till June 20th. Also, I am a college student and got an alcohol ticket (consumption) and that isn’t due till July 15th. Now right now the June 20th ticket lets me have court supervision but since my license is suspended till the 14th of July what will happen? Get it extended? I have no clue. This was a bad start to my year!
And I have learned so much from this. My gosh.
In Illinois, if your license is suspended and you get another ticket, your suspension is extended. Probably 3 to 6 more months. Since you are not under the graduated drivers license restrictions, a third dwls (driving while license suspended) will get you a minimum year suspension. 4 or more will get revoked. And if it hasn’t happened already and depending on the police agency, you may start spending some time in jail. Due to you being out on bond (i.e. license/I-Bond) and then getting additional tickets.
Additionally, you consumption by a minor ticket may also extend your suspension. As of June 1st, 2008, consumption by a minor tickets can carry a license suspension of one year as well.
