indiana speeding ticket laws
17 years old and unpaid moving violation.?

September 11, 2007 I was cited for speeding (70 in a 55 to be exact) I was written a ticket.

I chose to take the deferral process to prevent my insurance rates from going up. With that said, I was given six months to pay the ticket off – therefore the ticket is due in full by March.
The likely hood of me coming up with the 165.00 I still owe is slim. I’ve only paid 25.00 on it, and that was back in October of 2007.

What can I do?
Or what are my options?
I am trying to avoid court or other further penalties.

Again, I am 17 and reside in Indiana.

Answers from actual law enforcement officials would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I lost my job the same month, and the closest town to us is Terre Haute, Indiana which is a total round trip of about 60 miles.

Any other options, possibly an extended deadline, community service, etc.

You chose to speed & then you chose to take the deferred option. Now you don’t wanna live up to your end of the bargain. Are you saying that since September, you’ve only had $25 in your hands?
Have you put gas in your car?
Have you eaten at McDonalds?
Have you gone to the movies?
How did you pay for that?
If you want to avoid court & more penalties you need to get a job & pay your ticket.
