Im in the diversion of traffic, what if I get a ticket in another state?

I'm in the diversion of traffic in excess Kansas speed. I have a ticket today for speeding Missouri. As it was in another state that still affect you? not have to answer to my question. The police officer said that my fun did not apply when there was a background check, so if your state through curiosity I have lines if not affected.
