Failure to appear for speeding ticket Los Angeles County, CA?

I have a speeding ticket in Santa Clarita, CA. I never received any notification of the amount of bail or fines or court date. I recently received a failure to appear to require a deposit of $ 850 for what should have been $ 150 a ticket in most speeding.
