Massachusetts State Police Speeding Tickets
2001

Can a police officer in the city issue a quote on a state highway?
I live in Massachusetts and more recently took on the road by a police officer in the city of Kingston and a speeding citation. Since then I have been informed by a close friend that no city official had authority to issue a subpoena in the state highway without the presence of state police. Is this true? I think in the fight against the bill and would like to know if this can being raised in my appeal.
The designation of the road, never mind. It just means that the State is primarily responsible for road maintenance. While the road goes through the official competition, the stop is legal.
