Huge speeding ticket question?
I got caught one morning, 2am specificialy for speeding on the highway in Missouri going 140 in a 70.
I’m 22 and have had a clean driving record, no tickets or anything. This is my first ticket and I was caught on my bike.
I hired a great lawyer and had my first court appearance today but got a court continuation due to the officer not appearing.
What should I expect during the second trial? My lawyer said he’s trying to drop it to a minor traffic violation with 3 to 5 points and 12 payment fines and revokation of my
motorist license.
Should I expect the lawyer to do anything else andwhat happens if the officer doesn’t appear again?
Since the officer never showed up, shouldn’t that mean you’re off the hook? At least that’s what happens in California…
