Motorway Speeding Offences

Advances in car safety / car design surpassed the quality of driver training?
This is a question I've been thinking a lot. I live in the UK, where the speed limit for motorways is 70 mph. I often conversations where people say that this should be raised by the safety features in modern cars are much improved. My objection to this is that the major component in all cars (the nut that holds the wheel) is not up to it. There is no requirement in the UK for drivers to take any advanced training such as the slider or training highway (although these courses are available), without need for further regular tests and recertification. A person can pass your test at 17 and leave the unit in any place at the wheel of a car and come to the attention of the authorities unless they are caught committing a traffic violation. My own view is that this is not a situation sensitive and the driver of any system of licensing requires a thorough review. What do you think?
Automakers Announce many features vehicle safety and exciting spectacle 4×4 film strips across formidable barriers of stone, mud, whatever. Showing cars with excellent brakes but never mention that the creator of this piece of machinery must also be well informed about the limitations of their vehicle and themselves … Many people have minimal skills in the conduct referred …… Combined with the lack of experience in handling your vehicle in adverse conditions or emergency, it is often injury or death. Oversteer, swerving, speeding and following too closely are as simple to correct a couple of lessons and the attitude of some adjustment. The lessons that can be done easily, but they are lazy. Attitude is the hard part. We all need self-discipline. THINK AND DRIVE is a good motto here ….. I agree that each driver should be re-evaluated every 5 years and retraining if the levels of skill and knowledge are the rules.
