NY resident, speeding in North Carolina?

I was 82, 65 in North Carolina, I have a court date that I'm having a lawyer handle. I said I'm still at risk of Ohio suspended my license, but I can not give legal advice to Ohio. He told me to call the DMV and it is busy. This is my first offense ever, Ohio is going to suspend my license? I have no other points on my license and my insurance is relatively low and I can not afford the cost of the ticket and such. I'm not worried about the monetary consequences. I mean shit, I had no idea was crap 65 years, I do not want to get my license taken away for rabies temporary road that made me the floor itself. Thanks Nightrider.

Ohio and North Carolina has what is called a driver's license compact. This is an agreement between states where if you are found guilty (or plead guilty) to a traffic offense committed in another state, it informs its home state. If you do not win this ticket in the cut, Ohio will be notified and will be assessed points on your license here. Being 3 miles in what would be considered reckless operation, I do not see how it would suspend your license (unless you already have points against last ticket). This is a simple gearbox, but it will cost as much as NC will also charge rates additional insurance for the next three years in Ohio. Good luck and I hope this is helpful
