New York Speeding Penalties
2008

I took a speed ticket in Staten Island Expressway in New York …?
I was speeding 70 mph in a 50 mph zone. It was my first speed ticket and I want to know is there any possible way (s) to lower or remove my fine points before the insurance company sees it? I heard that if I took the "State New York DMV approved defensive driving class "can reduce 4 points (This is the same penalty points that I had!), but my disk is still present I have the conviction rate and insurance ticket can use that to increase my payment secure? Someone else mentioned to me if I plead "not guilty" and go to local traffic courts. I can discuss the issue with my case and the prosecutor if willing to pay for my extra fine, you can remove the penalty points on my record. Is it a good way to reduce my spending? Please advice. Thanks! Thanks Butters! for your response. I took the comedy defensive driving classes and we suggest it is more cheaper than the online class.
Take the class. Points vanishes, and your insurance will not rise.
