Nj Speeding Ticket Payment

How to know if a speeding ticket will put points on your license?

I received my first entry this weekend for driving 89 mph in a 65 mph zone in New Jersey (I have a NY license). The policeman was very kind to me, told me I had to pay a fine, I could check online or call court. No mention or check the box on the ticket that I should appear, but he wrote to a date and time on it. Do I have to think if I just sent payment of the fine? Also, do not mention anything about the points, I be concerned? I just got my own insurance policy. Ugh.

The date and time were for review, if you want to go to court and fight the ticket. Just pay the fine and be done with it. Points are not usually given to the drivers of the state. This does not mean the insurer will not know it.

Judge: Constitution “not relevant” – 3/3
