Ny Dmv Speeding Ticket

May 17
2007

I got a speeding ticket in NY State in 2002 then moved to TX. I now am moving back.?

I got the ticket in 2002 and almost immediately moved to TX where my driving record was wiped clean. Here I have a flawless driving record. Now I have taken a job in NY. My question is: Will the DMV find this old driving infraction and charge me immediately upon registration? Is the ticket so old that it will not even show up? Can the ticket still be dismissed?

Thanks

I am quite certain it stays on your record for some time and no they will not dismiss it after this long. You should have paid it in a timely manner. Sorry, but you played now you have to pay.
