Ohio Law Speeding Tickets
2005

Does a driving under a suspended license prevent you from passing a security clearance?
I am interested in joining the Air Force Combat Control and a requirement is to be able to pass a Secret Security Clearance. I have done some research on security clearances, but I cannot seem to find the answers I am looking for.
I have had two tickets (1 speeding, 1 failure to stop), which resulted in a suspension of my license. However, I was unaware of that law and the suspension, so I continued to drive. I was pulled over and he told me I had a suspended license. He was actually sympathetic, gave me a ticket and didn’t take me to jail because apparently that happens a lot in Ohio. =/
Anyways…I’ve paid all my fines and I haven’t been in trouble for almost 2 years now. Will something like that prevent me from passing a security clearance?
No, it should not. I saw my FBI report, and it referred to some major speeding tickets as “minor traffic infractions” I was in process to become a Military Policeman. It had no effect on my clearance at all. I had a secret clearance.
