New Ohio Traffic Law:Speedlimit Increase?
I was told today that the speed limit in Ohio changed on highway from 55 to 65. is this true? I got pulled over for doing 70 in a 55 on July 5th but if this new law is true i shouldn’t have gotten pulled over. Where can I find this information, i looked on the DMV website with no luck.
i was on 62 right about 1/2 mile before the limit drops to 45
Also please tell me(send link) where you found the information
The law change removed the SPLIT speed limit on Interstate highways where the limit had been 65 for cars and 55 for commercial trucks. Those Interstates now have a SINGLE speed limit of 65. Signs have already been changed everywhere the change applies. If the signs where you were still read 55, the limit on that road is 55.
Note 1: Some parts of Interstates in Ohio have always had and still have a speed limit of 55.
Note 2: Even if the limit was 65b where you were driving, you ADMIT to going 5 mph over the limit. You can receive a ticket for 1 mph over the posted limit.
Despite ruling, police keep radar guns
