JAN NEW LAWS TO TAKE EFFECT. January 2011 nearly 200 new laws are scheduled to take effect January 1, 2011, including pension reform for most of new public employees, limits on campaign contributions, the joint designation of candidates for the posts of governor and lieutenant governor in the elections primary, and changes to laws on the use of red light cameras, according to State Sen. Tim Bivins (R-Dixon).
