How do you settle one charge in one county while serving in another?

my boyfriend was arrested in Orange County, Ca. with 3 warrants. OC, LA, and San Bernardino. The OC one he went to court for and it was dropped, then San Bernardino picked him up and that case was dismissed but he is serving 40 days on a probation violation, how can he get a cite release or close the case in LA?? is there a form he can fill out and file so the LA case could get taken care and be done with after his 40 days??? The LA case was for a speeding ticket, i think it was a court fee he didn’t pay..

His statutory right to demand a prompt hearing only kicks in if he has been sentenced to a term of 90 days or more, so there is no form he can file. However, if he can get an attorney to appear for him on the L.A. case, he might be able to get a concurrent sentence. I assume he is represented by appointed counsel. If so, he should have his San Berdoo lawyer get in touch with the Public Defender where the L.A. charge is pending. If he has hired counsel, that attorney can do it.
