Orange County Fl Speeding Ticket

Appealing A Traffic Ticket…Wrong Name On Ticket.?
If someone was issued a speeding ticket and when the ticket was placed in the court system with the complete wrong last name, is this something that could cause the ticket to be thrown out if it was contested?
The speeding ticket, when checking on the Orange County (FL) Clerk Of Court, has my information only the last name is completely wrong.
I’m curious if I should even waste my time contesting this ticket due to the name being incorrect.
It’s been stated here many, many times already that simple clerical errors do NOT automatically mean that a ticket will be thrown out by the courts. If the Officer can establish that the driver was you and that it was a simple mistake that led to the wrong last name being on the ticket, then it becomes a simple matter of amending the citation and that can be done while your in court.
Contrary to what Prussian Blue says if there is not enough correct information on the ticket to show that you are actual driver then it would be thrown out. That’s why your name is not the only thing on the ticket.
I’m sorry that some people can’t seem to come on here and answer questions with a little maturity and some actual first hand knowledge to back there answers up.
