Speeding

Question about NJ and PA License Points?

I just posted earlier today that I got a ticket in Jersey for Speeding. The cop wrote down 2 points but said that if I showed up at court they would recommend to the judge to take them off. I dont think I’m gonna get the points but if I did what would happen because I got the ticket in New Jersey but I live in Pennsylvania.
It’s in Maple Shade, New Jersey. 10 minutes from my house and the court building is 2 minutes from where I work
I just thought of this too—Would t hose points at all effect my insurance rate.

I live in PA and from what I understand, the points do not carry over to PennDOT. I’m not 100% sure since things may have changed.

Regardless, I believe your insurance company will probably pick up this moving violation in the future and depending on your driving record, it may affect your rates.

I would not show up in court in Jersey just for a lousy speeding ticket.
