Pay Illinois Speeding Ticket
2005

I was pulled over in Illinois and payed a $75 post bond, is that all I have to pay and just send in my receipt?
I am just a little confused. The officer said I could pay $75 or give him my license so I payed him the money, but I’m paranoid that I also have to send in $75 with my speeding ticket or is that all I have to pay? Did I just pay him to not take my driver’s license or did I actually pay for my ticket.
As long as you were given a receipt for the bond, you have acknowledgment that it is applied to you. This was done solely to make sure you will deal with the ticket ( I am assuming you were an out of state driver in this?).
The amount of the bond should be applied towards the fine if you are pleading guilty. Contact the Clerk of Courts ( their number will be listed on the back of the ticket near the bottom). They can advise on the amount of the fine and if your bond amount is fully applied.
Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you
