Late payment to driver responsibility assessment statement for speeding ticket in NY, Is my license suspended?
So i got a speeding ticket and payed it, but i also got this “driver responsibility assessment statement” which states i have to pay $300 by 8/8/09 (Saturday) for the points on my license. Well I forgot about this and saw it on my desk today i quickly payed it online 8/10 Monday. On the document it says my drivers license will be suspended if you fail to pay the minimum annual payment amount.
my question is my license going to be suspended or is it already? or is not suspended because I payed this? The payment was due on a weekend does that help my case at all?

What’s your client I.D. number, I’ll check for you? Haha. Just kidding. This is something that’s actually handled down at the courts. I would like to tell you that you should be okay only being a couple days late, however, if I were you I would call the court that the ticket was written out of. They will be able to assist you better. If you paid it now they should lift the suspension if they did suspend you. For the time being, drive extra cafefully. If you are stopped and suspended then that’s an AUO 3rd ticket. We go by the information presented to us on the computer. If the computer says you’re suspended then that’s another ticket. Good luck.
