Pay Speeding Fines Nsw

license suspension, red p’s, green p’s in under two weeks.. NSW AUSTRALIA?

im currently on a P1 license and can go for my P2 license in 11 days from today on the 4th july.
today i was caught speeding, and recieved 3 points and $243 fine.
ive heard that it is possible that if you get your P2 license before the points are processed, they are demerited from the P2 license, of which will have 6 points, therefore avoiding the license suspension?
im aware ill still have to pay the fine, but i was wanting to know if this is true?
also if possible whether 11 days would be enough or too long to be able to allow to get my P2 license and avoid the suspension?

all feedback is good, also i know speeding is bad and after today i wouldnt recommend anyone allowing themselves to be in this situation, its quite scary and i dont liek it. i also know that i probably shouldnt be allowed to avoid the suspension but i have a job and school etc.

thanks

I believe what you have heard is correct. The RTA deducts the points from your “new” licence (in this case, a P2) on or after the day you pay the fine. You have 21 days to pay the fine and your new licence is due in 11 days. It’s worked out well for you this time, but remember it means you will only have 3 points left on your P2 licence after that, so be careful.
