Pay Va Speeding Ticket
2004

I have 20 years of age, have a driving record 5 + in the state of Virginia. I recently got my first speeding ticket?
I have a ticket in the Sussex County, Virginia. Speeding 90 in a 65, the radar fixed. Act Section 46.2-870.I am a full time student and this is my first speeding ticket. I live in Alexandria, VA. The court is 3 hours away. I have this ticket back from Myrtle Beach. The ticket price is $ 491.00 and 60 days suspended license. I would like keep my license suspended, but I can not afford a lawyer. If I drive 3 hours and show up to court what are my chances of getting the ticket reduced or do not get my license suspended my next court date is Aug. 31. Please advise me! Should I pay or appear in court and repersent myself?
Very thin. You should know that 22 miles over the limit is considered reckless driving in Virginia and were cited for going 25 over the limit. Consider yourself lucky that the Virginia abusive driver law was repealed, or their ticket would have been the triple. Consider also the fate which has an A + record, and they have placed points your license. Ticket for 90 is 6 points on your license (hence the suspension). However, if your reason for going fast is credible and show remorse since this is your first, may show some leneancy if they appear in court.
