pay virginia speeding ticket
What should I do regarding upon receiving a speeding ticket in Virginia?

I just received a speeding ticket in Virginia for going 52 mph in a 35 mph zone. It is my first traffic violation in 5-6yrs. Im a 32 yr old white male. Cop was nice and I was nice in return. Nothing seems to be wrong or incorrect about ticket. It appears to be $385 to pay this ticket off before the court date. I just wanted to know my best options. Should I go to court before the judge? If so what should I do or say? Should I go to defensive driving school before the court date? Will the ticket be more expensive if Im found guilty in court? Any tips or suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

I would appear in person and say ” I am truly sorry for speeding and I will take care to never do it again, this I swear to you my Honor “, ” this is my first violation and my last “. Most judges love to see and hear, true and meaningful, remorse for someones actions. Never go before them again for a traffic violation.
