radar gun speeding ticket
Question on speeding ticket and radar guns, is this legal?

I recently took a city police not only I did more, but another vehicle, which was before me for speeding (a policeman pulling over two cars). The police summoned me and the other driver for speeding. When I asked the officer why he stopped me said he was going 80 mph in a 55 mph construction zone. The police told me that He scored the other vehicle in front of me at 80 mph and as I was behind this vehicle was at the same speed. I was not going 80 mph and I am seriously thinking in fighting this in court. Basically, the police database that would speed the radar speed the other vehicle told before me. Do I have a case? How can the police may know that I was going 80 mph, because I scored. It's the end of the month, where I live and I think he is trying to fill their quota of tickets for month. Any advice and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

About the only chance we have is whether the official is not filed with the court. It is very easy to judge if the car behind is to keep up with the car in front. That's it, the police have to say. It is possible to convince the judge to reduce the fine little or slow a mph or two, but that's probably about it. If your driving record is pretty good, worth going to court and ask for the fine and points reduced. But you will to pay a fine for this case. Sorry!
