Reckless Driving in Virginia Question?

I got pulled over going 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in Virginia. By VA law, I know 20 mph over the posted speed limit is reckless driving. However, if the police officer never mentioned reckless driving and gave me the option to either go to my court hear or prepay the offense, I wasn’t charged with reckless right? In other words, can you be going more than 20 mph over in VA and not get reckless, or if you go that fast are you automatically charged with reckless? Also, as an 18 y/o male, do you think my insurance rates will increase dramatically? Thanks!

if you wereb’t cited for wreckless driving the no worry just pay the ticket
and speeding ticket 15 or more miles an hour over the speed limit is reported to the ins. co. so expect a rise in your premium
