ri speeding fines
What tells you how fast you go on a speeding ticket?

I recently received a speeding ticket in the state of Rhode Island. I confused as to what the officer left as my speed. The officer told me I was going 55 in a 35 mph zone. He said that although it was my first entry, which was give me one because it was very fast. But when I got the Ticket, "speed zone" which is definitally the speed limit was 35 mph hour. Then he says "real rate" was 40 miles per hour. What I wonder is, is the "actual speed" as fast as I wrote for? Do give me a break? I thought at first, but at the top of my ticket is a big "55", which is a circle … He was not in a box on the ticket, just write random. I do not know if it was my speed i was going, and the "actual speed" means somthing else. However, in the state of RI if they are under 18, has a manditory court date without penalty immediately. What is my speed, so I know to go along with his break if I made one.

I think cut you a break instead of typing the full amount. He wrote the actual amount at the top so that the prosecutor knows all the facts. I often write violations for only five more if the person is decent. Because in my state, 5 for only one offense and the conviction that was not reported to the State (which means that insurance companies will not see it).
