Recently accused of stealing $ 125 from my employer?

When I worked we commission and an employee who had been there for years showed me a couple of tricks to make sure you continue to keep his commission. Most of the things that were really dark but I thought it was okay, there purchased the item and then returned without a receipt. The problem was that he had made that he was working, but that's not the point. I decided to try and squeezed the wrong button and $ 125 is credited to my card instead of to the store without me knowing. I just found out like I was being laid off today and right in my office administrators offered to them having the money to pay because it was not my intention. I live in MN and know about the laws of probation and the officers I met with said I should be able to move yet (im supposed to move to the beginning of August SC). I guess I just wonder what will happen to me as I am not a minor but this is the very very thing first to my hard-no violations or anything. please help!

Do not think you will see this as a felony. It will probably get a fine and must pay restitution. He has learned a hard lesson. I do not think the "tricks" that will benefit you financially. It is likely that you land exactly where you are now. While that his intention was to steal the money, they were really trying to increase their commitment to deception, making it look like a sale took place during their shift, when actually it was not. Take the lesson they have learned and apply it in future. You'll be fine, but remember not to include this as a good reference on your resume future and leading to former employers and references. However, former employers are not authorized to discuss why he no longer works for them. You can only tell the employer if you were eligible to re-hire that company.
