Motorcycle Traffic Violation in Texas please help?

My friend has just gotten a speeding ticket for doing 63 miles in a supposed 40 zone on a motorcycle in Texas. (If not 40 then it will be 45 just have to clarify tomorrow but the police officer sited it as 40 zone). He has never received a traffic violation and we are not sure what the best options are. On the ticket they say you can pay your fine and get 2 points on the licence. This would mean a $235 fine + 2 points, Firstly, will this affect his insurance if he goes ahead and pays? Option 2: Court. The ticket gives the option of attending traffic school or Motorcycle Operator Training Course + paying fee. We cannot find any Motorcycle place that does these courses just for traffic violations. He has already done the basic course when he first started riding 1 year ago. Does he need to do it again? Or will that course count? Can he just do the traffic school courses online for $25? Any suggestions as to how to get out of this ticket or pay the least amount of money would be great!

The class they are talking about are not offered as the same type as when you were getting your license or those that dealers host for riders.

The traffic school is arranged by the state or county government for people with tickets, usually first-timers.

If they have that, by all means take advantage of it. You should save some money since the cost will probably be around $50 to $100. Even if you still had to pay the entire $235 fine, not having 2 points on your license could save you hundreds over the next 3 years or so. Your insurance company may or may not find out about the ticket, but if you are involved in an accident or if you need to change insurers, your insurance could go up by 25 to 50% or so.

If you are correct and the legal system allows you to pay only $25 for the traffic school and you can do it online, then that is a no-brainer.
