9 points on license. ex was driving my car and i dont know where he is?
I already have 9 points on my license i am now extremely careful when driving as those pesky cameras wont get me again. My boyfriend used my car a couple of times and has since left me for another woman and moved to spain. i recieved a speeding ticket today and it was him driving it as i was away nursing my mum who has cancer at the time.
How do i put him on the nip notice when i dont know where he is. Would a letter off my mum help to prove i was there? HELP
Put your boyfriend down as the driver as well as his old address then return it.
If there’s a problem with that they will get back to you but as the owner of the car, you are responsible for tickets, fines and points if they can’t get the driver regardless of where you were at the time of the offence.
My mate got points added to her licence because a “friend” in a group of friends sped and refused to admit who it was – at the time of the offence she was in Australia for 3 months and didn’t return for another 2 months but as the owner of the driver who couldn’t give the name of the driver, she was liable.
Now her car isn’t lent out to friends while she’s away.
