Why speeding can cause accidents?

speeding (as in breaking the speed limit) is rarely the sole or main cause of accidents and road deaths, it’s just it can have a greater impact when someone is involved in one, and like others have said its cos the faster you go, the longer your thinking and breaking distance is, less time to react to changes of situations and the ‘unexpected round the next corner hazards’, bigger impact of injury and/or death when you crash at faster speeds.
But it’s not speeding that kills (regardless of all this crap you hear), its the way a lot of people do it irresponsibly and drive recklessly that does
