In Victoria, do probationary license demerit points reset when progressing from red to green p plate licenses?
A while back i got a speeding fine leaving me with 3 demerit points out of a possible 5. I was told by the police officer and by many other people that my points would reset back to 5 upon transitioning from the Red P plate license to the Green P plate license. I have had greens for a month now and according to vicroads i still have 3 demerit points against my license. So are they supposed to reset upon transition or 12 months after offence date. To confirm this is in victoria, other rules are different.

They dont reset.
If you lost 2 demerit points.
You get 1 back every 12 months.
Thus taking two years for the 2 points to be returned.
