speeding ticket problems?
well, so I have a speeding ticket going 70 in a 55. He said I have a pretty good record (I was lying on 4 / 5 years ago once and just got a notice) and may have reduced problems the whole thing. besides, my speedometer was not working at the time (the car just passed inspection because the speedomoter and stuff only work 75% of the time). I'm sure my parents, but I will not tell BC is going to kill me. I'm considering getting a lawyer to get all this sorted for me, but even if it is all down to faulty equipment, will my insurance go up? Also, do you have any other word of advice, plus the fact that I tell my parents? please do not hesitate to share your story.
You will to tell your parents what is happening. Getting a ticket of "small" will show on your record and insurance. As for the speedometer … is its responsibility to keep your vehicle in good condition. A faulty speedometer / broken is their problem, not the state. That will not leave a note. Do not know what state are, but look for if your state has one of two options: (1) defensive driving class, which will keep the ticket off your insurance or (2) deferrment, which could remove the entire bill if you do not get another ticket for a year. Good luck. And tell your parents. It's better than what you hear that the insurance company.
