What are some guitar tabs good starting point?

What are some good songs for a beginning guitar player like me? I prefer something with some chords, because I'm still slow transfer line to line. I can play "Wish You Were Here" … you know, I do not break – but enough to survive to play that song. You can also play the first bit of "Classical Gas" until it starts to pick up speed. Finally, I've been working on "Motorcycle Drive By" by Third Eye Blind, to get my feet wet with more fingerpicking. Therefore, apart from the more than 3 … what songs I recommend for someone who is essentially starting out? Thanks!

Green Day are all pretty easy and can help you learn power chords. In addition, I recommend "Come As You Are" by Nirvana and "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles. If you want easy songs, keep or punk and alternative songs avoid songs with lots of fast riffs or solos.
