Speeding

I need help with an animated GIF I made …..?

The GIF is very well and no problems with it. The real problem is when I use it as an animated background for my Myspace profile, which runs veeeery slow. The MIC is great as background ….. only has to accelerate in some way. Heres a few theories I have: Size the file is too big … and if that is what it is, how I can fix it no more reduce the size of the image itself ……….. Or maybe I'm using a generator bad design. And if so what is good? Can anyone help me with this? I'll gladly give you 10 points! I would take more than that if I could. 10 points doesn't seem quite ………………

Using an animated gif in the background is always a bad idea.It diverts attention from the important things (the actual content) and as you noticed, delays in the site. There are a number of possible reasons why it is slow. If you use Internet Explorer, which could be a reason. IE is something wrong image management and, possibly, could make the graphics behind. An animated gif is like a short film that is repeated and it takes a little power processing to display that image / video. Now if that image is repeated in the background, the team has to show a whole lot of movies while making a lot of processing power.
