speeding offences nsw
Is there any way I can contest a penalty offence for not displaying P plates?

I went through an RBT and I had no P Plates on my vehicle so I harshly lost 3 points and a $197 fine. I really thought it was 2 points in the past (1 for each p plate missing, am I right or wrong?).

But anyway, I have tried to explain nicely to the officer that I just came off the high speed motorway and they must have flown off due to the speed. I also tried telling them that it wasn’t even my car as it is not registered in my name but rather my parents?

I live in NSW. Are any of these escuses good enough or valid? What else could I say?

Sorry there are no excuses. It is your responsibility to make sure the P’s are stuck on properly. If they fall off when you drive at a legal speed limit you didn’t attach them well enough. Driving your parents car is also no excuse, most p-platers drive their parents car
