speeding prosecution time limit
Caught speeding (35 mph) by the House of Van Police – Deadline?

I was photographed on 9/12/2006 to 35 mph on a road polygon industry that has a limit of 30 mph on a Saturday morning for a meeting of revenue, "Van Security." I received a notice of prosecution scheduled within 14 days, I responded with the PACE witness statement and returned over the announcement of intended prosecution (not filled in) by e certificate. To date I have not heard anything from the police, can anyone tell me if there is a time limit fixed penalty for these offenses? I heard that six months has gone from has expired and I can forget, but can anyone tell me for sure …………. Please only answer this question if you are sure your answer is correct – PLEASE NO guesswork! All the best, Gizz. PS anyone want to know about the witness statement of PACE see http://www.pepipoo.com good luck!

Its 6 months to make contact with you and let you know that they intend to prosecute you. I'm surprised you informed of only 5 miles, usually only to report if you have more than 9 miles above as they have to allow for defective speedos camera calibration and error. I always find the best vehicle registration in a different direction to your license, that way you can not tie the two and can only follow what you put in your log book! They can put points on your license and may very well for not supplying data to the driver (no points for that). I've been stuck in a lot of speed cameras and also stopped the report, but to pursue only 1 in 3 cases and have never had a point on my license. Never drive fast in built up areas and have only been captured in the chambers where place to make money! At the end of the day if they catch you its still only a fine and 3 points if they have the license, each day that passes is a day without points and a fine. Good luck!
