can you get a speeding ticket with the radar gun if there is no sign that there is radar enforced?

i got a “speeding ticket” by going 50 on the street. i know i wasn’t going 50 so after showing insurance and stuff i asked the cop to show me the radar gun. he said ok but never did. i want to fight this ticket but i don’t think i will win because its his word against mine. but i heard that they cant give you a ticket using the radar gun unless there is a sign posted somewhere saying radar enforced or something. Is that true? I always see the cops in motorcycles on that street all the time and ive never seen a sign. and by the way this is in california.

yes you can get a ticket if you was speeding it doesn’t matter if there was no radar enforced sign
