Speeding

Has anyone been convicted in North Carolina to pass a stopped school bus?

I have a ticket to this past January, but was a lawyer and will probably have to go to court in June. I'm terrified. The bus seemed to be falling when I went … was an honest mistake and I do not shamelessly speed past. Going the speed limit (35 mph). I was terrified of jail time, but I've never gotten a ticket before and they said they would not jail. I have so scared .. and I like that are not critical, useful tips. I do not know what to expect in court .. I'm afraid the judge will yell at me, although I will say I'm sorry and admit he was wrong. I have been told by many people who do not go to jail, but still has not sunk in. It's ruined my life for months and I am ready to done with it. I do not want to be removed from my husband and his family for something he did not intend to do!

Hi I live in Randolph county nc, what has happened my wife …. eventually given a choice between 2 weeks of jail or pay a fine of at least that's the way it happened here with my wife …. they will have points your license for a while (3 to 5 years) and passing a school bus that gives you the most points (5 or 8 I think) also points on your license your insurance will go upfrom way it is now to the point of exit. may have to do community service or a class with good, but that is at the discretion of the judge the truth. oh by the way the judge isn't going to yell at you, but make sure you remember what you were reckless and potentially endangered how many children. Salt if wanted arrested and sent to prison and to be there
